GT PARENT CONNECTIONWelcome to GT Parent Connection! We are an organization of parents and educators of Gifted and Talented (GT) students based in Washoe County, Nevada. We recognize the unique social, emotional, and academic needs of GT children, as well as the many challenges that GT parents and educators face. GT Parent Connection is dedicated to providing information, support, and educational opportunities for parents and educators in support of GT students and gifted education. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that is organized and run by parent volunteers. We include families at public schools, private schools, charter schools, and home school. GT Parent Connection sends members a monthly e-Newsletter and holds meetings and events that include educational programs, guest speakers, discussion, and an annual resource fair. There is no membership fee to join, but donations are appreciated and used to cover the costs of operation, communication, the resource directory, the resource fair, meetings, and programs.
